/transvaginal ultrasonography/
Vaginal ultrasound

Initially, ultrasonography may be used to determine the condition of the uterus and ovaries. The fertile days will become predictable around the 11th day of menstruation. Based on the doctor's judgment at different time points, the purposes of the corresponding examinations may be met.

The examination is carried out in a manner identical to the pelvic examination. Transvaginal ultrasonography is conducted by inserting a slender probe into the vagina to scan the cervix, uterus and ovaries and create ultrasonography images. Compared with abdominal ultrasonography, the results are more accurate and clearer.
For subjects who might find resistant to invasive examination, a dedicated condom will be put on the probe. The dedicated condom will be replaced every time after the test to obviate the risk of infection. Also, the sound waves are harmless to the human body.
If you feel any uncomfortable during the process, you may inform your doctor right away.
